Manchester City star Phil Foden has sold his £3.25 million mansion for a cut price. The England international has parted with the property after previously attracting complaints from neighbours.
Background
The four-bedroom property boasts a cinema, indoor swimming pool, and five bathrooms. Foden has been looking to shift it for more than six months, initially listing it at £3.25m. However, he struggled to attract a buyer and has now agreed to sell for around £2.9m.
The home was marketed by estate agents Jackson-Stops and is now 'sold subject to contract'. The luxury dwelling is set down a private road with an electric security gate and also has a ground-floor leisure suite, gym, bar, hot tub, and extensive gardens.
Neighbourhood Issues
Foden lived next door to ex-City team-mate Kyle Walker and antiques expert David Dickinson. However, the 25-year-old has also generated unwelcome headlines, including noise complaints from neighbours. One such party took place in August 2024, with the police called after locals complained that the Foden residence was 'louder than Glastonbury' and 'like being in a nightclub'.
A neighbour described Foden and his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke as 'a lovely family' and said they seemed 'devoted parents'. However, there have been a couple of loud parties, although none of the disruption caused by Walker and his wife with their shouting rows.
Personal Life
Foden and Cooke are understood to be engaged, after she was seen sporting a huge diamond ring following a romantic New Year trip to Paris. They continue to build their life together away from surroundings in which their presence was largely embraced. The couple has already moved to a more secluded area of the countryside with their three children.
Family Ties
Foden has spread his wings a little further, having sold one house and acquired another. The home that he bought for his parents in the same village that he recently vacated is also now on the market.
The Manchester City star remains within easy commuting distance of City's training complex at the Etihad. With the sale of his mansion, Foden can now focus on his football career and his family life in their new countryside estate.
